I’ve already declared my website to be a Twitter and Facebook-free zone. I’ve even got a nice graphic to show that I’m serious.

I am totally fed up with every site I visit being cluttered up with stupid “FOLLOW US!!!” buttons and I don’t care that I’m in the vast minority of internet users.

I am indeed using ASP.NET MVC on one of my projects, and I am so sold on this application architecture that I would not be using ASP.NET (at any price) if its support for the MVC model was not credible.

You might be interested to know that there are several “spark” programs at Microsoft. The Bizspark program is targeted at software startups. WebsiteSpark is targeted at small Web design and development agencies and provides a suite of Microsoft software for essentially nothing. The nice thing is that a lot of Web startups can qualify under WebsiteSpark.

Another item to point out which is relevant to your post is that ASP.Net has adopted an MVC framework modeled after Rails. It’s not quite open source, but you’re getting free software and Rails-like development within the Windows platform. Redmond is definitely learning!

Just found out your blog and I really admire your decision to start a company with so many responsibilities to take care of.
As I’m in my twenties, its far more easier to just dive into the whole startup thing – I basically have nothing to lose.
